ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Training

5- Day Course

Time: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM all 5 days

Purpose

This course trains participants to audit an external EMS to the requirements of ISO 14001:2004.

The course is accredited by RABQSA in association with AQS Management Systems and meets the training portion of the requirements for certification of individual Environmental Systems Provisional Auditors, Environmental Systems Auditors, and Environmental Systems Lead Auditors.

Topics include:

• ISO 14001 and other EMS standards compared
• Interpreting the requirements of ISO 14001
• ISO 19011:2002
• Leadership responsibilities
• Third-party issues
• EMS and conformity assessment techniques
• Audit planning and protocol development
• Environmental legislation overview
• EMS audit program design
• Nonconformance auditing and follow-up

The course includes an RABQSA final examination that can be used to qualify internal or third party auditors.

Participants receive a course workbook.

Note

This course assumes that participants have some knowledge of ISO 14001 and some auditing experience (QMS or regulatory compliance auditing).
